How to apply

How to Apply Diyar Nails

A flawless, long-lasting manicure starts with proper preparation. Taking a few extra minutes to prepare your nails will help your Diyar press-ons look more natural and last significantly longer. For best results, apply your nails when your hands are clean, dry, and free from any oils or lotions.

Step 1: Wash and dry your hands

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water to remove oils or residue.

Dry them completely, especially around the nail beds and sidewalls.

Do not apply hand cream, cuticle oil, or any moisturizing product before application.

Step 2: Gently push back your cuticles

Using the cuticle stick included in your kit, gently push back the cuticles on each nail.

This helps create a cleaner nail surface and allows the press-on to sit closer to the natural nail for a more seamless finish.

Step 3: Trim excess cuticle if needed

If you notice excess cuticle or loose skin on the nail plate, carefully remove it using the cuticle trimmer included in your Diyar kit.

This helps create a clean nail bed and allows the press-on to adhere more evenly.

Use the trimmer only where needed and avoid trimming living skin.

Diyar includes a professional cuticle trimmer in the kit so you can achieve a more salon-quality manicure at home.

Step 4: Lightly buff the nail surface

Using the buffer included in your kit, lightly buff the surface of each natural nail to remove shine.

This step helps the glue bond better and improves wear time.

You only need to buff gently. The goal is to remove the shine, not thin the nail.

Step 5: Cleanse the nails

Wipe each nail thoroughly with the alcohol prep pad included in your kit.

Make sure to clean the entire nail surface, including the sides and the area near the cuticle.

This removes oils, dust, and any residue that could prevent proper adhesion.

After this step, avoid touching the surface of your nails.

Step 6: Choose and prepare your nail sizes

Before applying glue, match each press-on nail to the correct finger and lay them out in order on the prep card.

Each nail should fit comfortably without pressing into the surrounding skin.

If you are between sizes, it is usually better to choose the slightly smaller size rather than one that is too wide, as nails that are too wide may lift at the edges.

If needed, you can gently file the side edges of the press-on nail for a more custom fit before applying adhesive.

Step 7: Apply the nail glue

Apply a thin, even layer of nail glue to your natural nail.

For a stronger hold, you may also apply a small amount of glue to the inside of the press-on nail.

Do not use too much glue. Excess glue can spill out from the sides and create a messy finish.

A thin, even layer is all you need.

Step 8: Apply the press-on nail

Hold the press-on slightly angled toward the cuticle and place it close to, but not touching, the skin.

Then lower it down from the cuticle area toward the tip of the nail.

This method helps reduce air pockets and creates the most natural-looking fit.

Once the nail is in place, press down firmly.

Step 9: Press and hold

Press each nail firmly for 20–30 seconds.

Apply pressure through the center and along both sides to help the adhesive bond evenly.

Take your time with this step to ensure a secure hold.

Step 10: Avoid water immediately after application

Once all nails are applied, avoid water exposure for at least 1–2 hours.

This allows the adhesive to fully set and helps maximize wear time.

Applying your nails before bedtime is often ideal, as it allows them to settle overnight.
