Tips for Long-Lasting Wear
Trim your natural nails short
Short natural nails allow the press-on to sit flat and reduce pressure that can cause lifting.
Never skip nail prep
Push back cuticles, lightly buff the nail, and cleanse with the alcohol pad. Prep is the biggest factor in how long nails last.
Remove shine completely
Adhesive bonds best to a slightly textured nail surface. Any remaining shine can reduce adhesion.
Apply glue to both surfaces
For stronger hold, apply a thin layer of glue to your natural nail and inside the press-on nail.
Use the right amount of glue
Too little glue weakens the bond. Too much glue can prevent proper adhesion and spill out from the sides.
Press longer than you think
Hold each nail firmly for 20–30 seconds to allow the glue to spread evenly and bond properly.
Apply nails before bed
Applying press-ons in the evening allows the adhesive to fully set overnight.
Avoid water right after application
Try to keep your hands dry for 1–2 hours after applying your nails.
Wear gloves for cleaning
Long exposure to water or cleaning products can weaken adhesive.
Don’t use nails as tools
Avoid opening cans, boxes, or packaging with your nails.
The “two-drop method”
Place one drop of glue near the cuticle area and one near the tip. When pressed down, the glue spreads evenly across the nail.
The slide technique
Place the nail near the cuticle, then gently slide it downward before pressing. This helps eliminate air pockets.
Apply glue in thin layers
A thin, even layer bonds stronger than thick glue.
Hold pressure at the cuticle first
Press the nail near the cuticle first, then press the center and tip.
Tips for Easier Removal
Never force a nail off
Pulling a press-on off too early can damage your natural nail.
Use remover for the easiest removal
The Diyar remover dissolves adhesive faster and more safely than soaking alone.
Allow enough time for remover to work
Give the remover a few minutes to soften the glue before lifting.
Work around the edges
Use the cuticle stick to gently loosen the nail around the sides instead of pulling from one direction.
Combine methods if needed
Soaking in warm water first can help the remover penetrate faster.
